Many people have asked me what they can give us to take to Solomon and his precious family-here are ideas-we hope to be able to bless them with at least a large suitcase full of items! Ethiopia's Christmas is Jan 9th-so we will get there right before and wouldn't it be great to give his family a Christmas to remember this year?! We are going through our house finding stuff to send and will buy some too-We are praying we get that Dec. 13th embassy date(we hope to know this week)
TOYS/SCHOOL SUPPLIES: (not sure how much English they read yet-but between them going to school and Solomon's English, should be able to read some for a game or something, bucket of regular legos, puzzle, soccer ball-or any balls, math activity books/flash cards backpacks, crayons, markers, glue, paper, tape, colored pencils, pens, notebooks, pencils, pencil box, etc.
BOYS CLOTHES: SHOES size 3 and 4-1/2 / sweatshirts ages 12 & 8 -(very thin build though but tall)/baseball hats, underwear, socks, t-shirts, pants
SOLOMON: -my height, prob 100-lbs, underwear/boxers, socks, undershirts & t-shirts-size med, tennis shoes he said size 8-(I am checking on this), pants
WIFE: (very thin, but an inch or so taller than me-tennis shoes: size 7-1/2 and any clothes size med.(sweater), underwear, socks, sports bra, pants-elastic waist
ANY TOILETRIES:-soap, shampoo, deodorant, lotion, toothbrushes/toothpaste, shaving cream, maxi-pads, Advil-adult/children's, Neosporin, Band-Aids, cold/cough med, body towels/washrags/hand towels, dish towels, bed sheets-twin & queen, small fan and small heater-electric
FOOD: peanut butter, rice, dried beans/peas, dried fruit, nuts, granola bars, oatmeal, sugar, flour, cheerios, tuna, candy, chocolate
MONEY-obviously is good too-it costs him $25 a month/per boy to send the boys to school-would love to get enough to send them for a year ($300 year/each).
