We are letting people know now that we will be arriving in Portland on Friday night, July 27th at 10:15pm- it is United Airlines flight #105 (Newark to Portland). We would LOVE to see anyone there that would like to welcome us home!! Let's celebrate God's goodness!!! (we are sorry it is so late-it was the only flight we could get, but hey, it IS a Friday night!) :-)
*If anyone could take pictures for us-we would really appreciate it!!

If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day." Habakkuk 2:3

"Although it may not always be obvious to us, there seems to be one distinct moment when God begins a new story in each of our lives. He writes words on our hearts that long to be spoken and strain to be lived out. Then with His own great hand, He begins to write the script. Experience by experience through seemingly ordinary days, He supernaturally orders our lives. Only when we look back and reflect on what appeared to have been the ordinary events of life does it become clear what a miracle the Lord has performed." Jan Beazely

Wish we could come!!! Our extra large family would happily make a scene at the airport with banners and balloons over your family's God-given gift of enlargement through older-child adoption! Praise God for the gift of audacious faith that He has given you! May He just keep giving you more and more faith, as well as eyes to see ALL your kiddos as He does as they adjust over the next two years (If you keep a long view, its easier to stay patient! Learned this with our first sibling trio 11 years ago. Think two years, and rejoice in God with every baby step of adjustment anyone in the family demonstrates. Lavish ALL your precious kiddos with encouragement and affection. Another hard learned lesson. God has been so kind to keep giving Jim and I groups of adoptees to learn more about Him, His grace and how that should color our parenting.)

I was looking through blogs at the beach with my family and came across yours. The picture of your children jumping brought tears to our eyes...we just brought our son home from Korea and my brother's family is waiting for travel to the Congo for their 2 children. What a joy it is to rejoice as children are coming home and families are forming! Congratulations.
