"But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled.
If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day." Habakkuk 2:3

We made it through and are waiting to get on our 1st flight!

Thanks for the prayers-we made it through with all our luggage and met some great ladies at the United counter that let us take BOTH totes of donations FREE....they were so nice and said they had helped another adoptive family in our group yesterday and "due to the other people working at the counter, couldn't let them take the donations through and they had to pay for them." They went on to tell us that they were SO excited for us and thought it was so neat that we were adopting...it was a great moment! They said they were so glad to be able to help us get our bags on free because they couldn't do it for the other couple due who was leaving yesterday, so they were thrilled to let our donations go through to benefit the same orphanage free!

We take off at 6:40 our time from Portland, land in San Francisco and then arrive in Dulles tomorrow morning at 6am DC time tomorrow....then onto Ethiopian and and Addis Ababa-Can't believe that in like 48 hours we will have her in our arms.

So as a little funny note (those of you that know Adam know that he is terrified of flying)....on our trip last time, we were given little airplane crackers from the stewardess...so I decided to show what happens to a plane when it crashes-as a joke to bug him! It is mean-but was funny at the time when we were deliriously tired!

  1. Can't wait to finally see some pictures of your precious angel in your arms coming HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. SOOO happy for you guys!!!! Excited to see her face through pictures!!

"Although it may not always be obvious to us, there seems to be one distinct moment when God begins a new story in each of our lives. He writes words on our hearts that long to be spoken and strain to be lived out. Then with His own great hand, He begins to write the script. Experience by experience through seemingly ordinary days, He supernaturally orders our lives. Only when we look back and reflect on what appeared to have been the ordinary events of life does it become clear what a miracle the Lord has performed." Jan Beazely
