We are SO in love with this baby girl and can't imagine not having her in our family! We feel like we have won the adoption lottery! She is totally perfect for our family and we couldn't ask for more! We have had snow here-so wanted to share some pictures of the first snow that Seble has ever seen-she LOVED it!! We went with some friends/neighbors-The Thomas family and had a great time.
People keep asking about how it is going with the adjustment-The last few weeks have gone well-better than expected. Adam and I are still doing all her care giving (feeding, bathing, putting to sleep, etc) but the kids are always there to assist and she is used to getting some attention and love from other family members-she gets held a lot and although she will "let you know when she is done and wants to come back to us" she seems to be adjusting to others well.
She had her doctors appointments and her labs all came back good, she is in the 30% for weight AND height and you would NEVER know that she had such a rough start at life. She is healthy, happy and a really "good" baby-usually only cries when she is tired or hungry (or a little scared).
Seble is still waking an average of 1-2 times a night but she just either takes her pacifier and goes back to sleep or drinks her bottle and goes right back down-so its not too bad. The kids are loving every minute with her and one of my favorite things that I treasure is watching the kids talk and interact with her-it is too precious. If anyone questions whether or not they should proceed with an adoption due to "what will our kids think"-PLEASE put that out of your mind-they always adapt and will love another one too! My kids could not be happier-and are already begging to adopt again! so, it is ok-and I am so glad we made this decision to bring Seble into our family-it has enriched us all-including all the kids!
We are The Stutzman Family-Join us as we travel this road of our second adoption of a brother & sister from Ethiopia, and beyond! Adam & Amber- Jacob 17 years, Haile from Ethiopia 15 years, Twins-Cassidy and Zachary 13 years Noah 12 years, Logan 10 years, Bethlehem from Ethiopia 9 years, and Seble from Ethiopia 5 years
"But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled.
If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day." Habakkuk 2:3

"Although it may not always be obvious to us, there seems to be one distinct moment when God begins a new story in each of our lives. He writes words on our hearts that long to be spoken and strain to be lived out. Then with His own great hand, He begins to write the script. Experience by experience through seemingly ordinary days, He supernaturally orders our lives. Only when we look back and reflect on what appeared to have been the ordinary events of life does it become clear what a miracle the Lord has performed." Jan Beazely
