I actually got teary eyed when the judge said that "Each part of her job is very hard and no one really likes the things that she has to do. In all the things that she does in her job-almost all are not very good-but this thing that she is about to do is the best thing-the thing that makes everyone happy.....and that is to make a family. So now I am making you a family." She said. Now yes, we already were a family-Seble has been legally ours since Nov. 19th-and she was an American citizen since we landed in DC....but now, now she has a US birth certificate with her full legal name. The name that her country gave her and we gave her put together. We are blessed beyond measure.

ReplyDeleteYay Congrats! Was that an easy process? Our two boys are from Russia and I think about doing that. Any tips? Sebel is SO SO cute! How blessed you are. Hugs from Stayton, OR!
ReplyDeleteYay! Awesome news! It is a wonderful moment when the judge signs the papers, and you can have a sigh of relief knowing that you have crossed the finished line! That little one you have worked so hard for, prayed so long for, and dreamed of holding, is legally and permanently YOURS. :) Congratulations!
